Simon Signs New Two-Year Contract With Nantes

After much negotiations, Nigeria’s Super Eagles attacker Moses Simon has extended his contract with FC Nantes of France.

The Nigeria international signed a two-year contract that will see him remain at the Maison Jaune until 2026.


Simon joined the Canaries on loan from Spanish club Levante at the start of the 2019/20 season.The move was made permanent the following campaign.

His current deal is expected to run out at the end of the ongoing season and the club hierarchy saw reason to open discussion on a new deal.

The club on Friday announced his extension via its official website and he will stay with the club until 2026.

” FC Nantes is very pleased to announce the contract extension of Moses Simon (28 years old). The Nigerian winger, who arrived in the summer of 2019 from Levante Unión Deportiva (La Liga, Spain), has decided to continue the adventure in yellow and green for the next two years. He is now linked to the Club des bords de l’Erdre until 2026″, the club said.

Simon has scored 29 goals and provided 31 assists in 163 appearances across all competitions for the Canaries.

Meanwhile, The 28-year-old is expected to be named in Nigeria’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
