
The organisers of the Nigeria Women Football League has announced the official kick-off date for the 2023/2024 season.
The league body held its Annual General Meeting in Lagos on Thursday and announced November 15 as the kick-off date of the league.
This follows the successful draw which was conducted this afternoon with each participating team guaranteed a fourteen (14) match run with home and away rounds.
They also confirmed the promotion of Ekiti Queens and Sunshine Queens to the elite division.

Sixteen teams will now play in the league and they have been divided into two groups of 8 teams.

Meanwhile, Delta Queens are the defending champions after winning the super 8, however there will be a break spanning three weeks which will start on the 20th of December 2023 and resume back to action on January 3rd, 2024, the first week of the new year in preparation for the January 10th transfer window.
