The Nigerian International was the hero on Saturday again, The 27-year-old setup Matthis Albine for the game’s opening goal three minutes before the break.
The Nigeria international also teed up Florent Mollet for his side’s fourth goal seven minutes from time.
Simon then wrapped up the scores from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time.
The win moved Nantes to sixth on the league table on eight points while Lorient sits 14th on six points.
Simon has now scored two goals and provided four assists for Nantes this season.
